The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is a global bar association serving in-house counsel, with more than 48,000 members employed by over 10,000 organizations in 100+ countries. ACC supports its members through education, networking, information, and advocacy, and works to advance the professional and business interests of the in-house bar. ACC Georgia (ACC-GA) is ACC's local chapter serving in-house counsel throughout Georgia, one of more than 55 ACC chapters worldwide. The Chapter is governed by a Board of Directors, serves approximately 1,200 members statewide, and operates under ACC National's chapter policies and fiscal guidelines. Job Description: Executive Director The chapter’s Executive Director (ED) acts as the chapter's key individual responsible for implementation of programs and events. The ED is also the main contact for and maintains the chapter’s relationships with sponsors. The ED works for the chapter an average of 20 hours per week/80 hours per month as an Independent Contractor. Responsibilities: Chapter Programming & Sponsorship: Manage sponsor relationships, including Working with the board to review and update the chapter’s sponsorship package as needed; Distributing and explaining the sponsorship package to current and potential sponsors; Meeting with current and potential sponsors to cultivate relationships and gather input on their experiences; Maintaining records of fulfillment of sponsor benefits; Communicating any sponsor’s issue promptly to the president and any directors responsible for programming throughout the year; and Handling any other sponsor matter referred by a chapter officer or director. Maintain programming calendar. Manage member interest group (MIG) leader relationships, including: Identifying and recruiting MIG leaders Meet with MIG leaders to explain their roles; and Act as a MIG leader resource to identify event speakers. Serve as on-site coordinator for sponsor events to the maximum extent possible, or ensure another on-site coordinator is available. Chapter Board of Directors: Attend board meetings and report on sponsorship and MIG matters. Meet with the president, by telephone or video conference, on a regularly scheduled basis. ACC National: Attend all required trainings. Support local and national membership drives and promotion as requested by the board. Assist with other responsibilities and special projects as requested/assigned by Board and as time allows.
