Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic port location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and support daily security-related operations. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols as needed, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.72 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, contractors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at the location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, check identification and/or visitor records, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas. Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate. Document daily activities, unusual events, and access control-related incidents, and complete required reports with attention to site procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, gates, and perimeter points as assigned, with duties and working conditions varying by location. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Possess a TSA-issued TWIC. Be at least 21 years of age. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
