Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Registered Nurse Emergency RoomCertification/License: Active Nebraska RN license required Experience: Minimum 2 years working ER, Med-Surg, Charge; must have prior travel experience Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA or ENPC), and TNCC Preferred Certifications: NIHSS, CPI, and SANE Start Date: 10/6/26 Shift: 3x12 Nights (EOW; blocked scheduling will be considered) Contract Length: 13 Weeks Facility Work Week: Sunday-Saturday Call Off Policy: 3 shifts per 13-week contract without penalty or payment of guarantee Scrubs: Navy (preferred) or any solid color Orientation: Only takes place on Tuesdays Charting System: Cerner Facility Type: Critical access facility with 25 beds; RNs must be multifaceted and flexible to handle multiple duties Floating Requirements: ED, Med/Surg, and Charge Facility Overview: Up to 350 patients in the ER per month Housing: Facility-provided housing available; tenant and rental agreement signed by traveler and facility Local Travelers: Accepted (less than 50 miles from facility)Responsibilities include triaging and assessing emergency patients, providing rapid stabilization and emergency interventions, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with trauma and medical emergencies, caring for Medical-Surgical patients as needed, performing Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned, documenting care accurately in Cerner, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, educating patients and families, responding effectively to critical situations, maintaining compliance with emergency care standards, and delivering safe, compassionate, evidence-based care in a flexible critical access hospital environment.
