About the Role:

Vogelpohl Fire Equipment Inc is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Controller to join our team in Erlanger, KY. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies
• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee financial risk management
• Lead and mentor accounting staff to maintain a high-performing finance team
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and financial advisors

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting role
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a product-based or service industry environment is a plus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
