Position Summary

Pretty With Purpose is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to help secure funding that supports life-changing programs for young women. This individual will identify grant opportunities, prepare compelling proposals, and collaborate with leadership to ensure applications align with our mission and organizational goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring grant writers, nonprofit professionals, retired professionals, or experienced fundraisers looking to make a meaningful impact while expanding their portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Research local, state, federal, corporate, and foundation grant opportunities.
• Write persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications.
• Gather program information, budgets, and supporting documentation for submissions.
• Work closely with program leaders to understand funding needs and program outcomes.
• Maintain a grant calendar with deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Assist with grant reports and impact summaries for awarded grants.
• Track submitted applications and maintain organized grant records.
• Recommend new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
• Support development of funding strategies for existing and new programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent written communication and storytelling skills.
• Strong research and organizational abilities.
• Experience with grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, or technical writing is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Passion for youth development, education, mentorship, and community impact.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
