Tech Refresh Hardware EngineerThe CIS program supports our intelligence customer deliver IT services to conduct its globally distributed operations. This includes continuous service improvement through the modernization of IT system infrastructure.CACI is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated Hardware Engineer to support the mission objectives and needs of the customer, the Defense Intelligence Agency. In this role you will analyze requirements, concepts of operations, and system architectures to create detailed infrastructure designs for refresh of customer technologies in line with program vision and objectives.The position is contingent upon award of the DIA SITE III CIO Infrastructure Services (CIS) contract.Responsibilities:Collaborate with Operations teams and Government stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure availability, reliability, resiliency, and operability objectives are well understood and achievableResearch optimal design characteristics and conducts Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs) for objective, informed decision-making on technology and service options, feasibility studies, and proofs of conceptsIncorporate capacity, performance, and other service-level metrics into designs for optimal user experience and infrastructure utilizationWork in small teams or independently to produce engineering and design artifacts, test cases, training materials, and supporting documentation, including CONOPS; may provide team leadership or guidanceResearch new technologies and capabilities, analyzes and articulates to stakeholders the benefits of integration into current infrastructure ecosystems, and conducts objective AoA and tradeoff decisions as a key member of Continual Service Improvement (CSI) and innovation activitiesUse lab facilities to promote experimentation, investigation, and feasibility of designs and technologiesDevelop test cases and scripts for unit and system tests for all designs and configurations; uses lab facilities to ensure complete test coverage and positive outcomes before readying components for deploymentSupport transfer of engineered solutions to Operations teams throughout acceptance testing, Blue/Green fielding, and early production use to smooth operations during initial useProvide advanced troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing services to Operations teams for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) components within areas of desktop solutions experienceDevelop Tech Refresh strategy for assessment and planning, vendor evaluation and procurement, implementation and deployment, governance and oversight, compliance, and risk management executed in the phased approachProvide support of engineering services from engineering to operations transitionQualifications:Required:Must hold a current Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to startDOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+)An AA and 14+ years of experience, BS/BA and 12+ years of experience, MS/MA and 10+ years of experience, or PhD and 8+ years of experienceMinimum of 4 years of hands-on experience designing, integrating, validating, and implementing IT hardware and software solutionsAbility to coordinate effectively with team members on technical and non-technical issuesWillingness to learn new skills and new technologies.Desired:Degree in Science, Technology, or EngineeringFamiliarity with IC ITE services and classified environmentsFamiliarity with Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) or evaluating new storage technologiesITIL 4 Foundation CertificationWhat You Can Expect:A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
