Work Environment

This role is onsite at our advanced rehabilitation facility in Radford, Virginia, where you will be part of a cohesive team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with an expectation to see 2-3 patients per hour. Our modern facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic technology, allowing you to employ a wide array of techniques that cater to the distinct needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients to identify treatment goals and develop personalized care plans that promote mobility and recovery.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Implement evidence-based treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities.
• Educate patients about their conditions and motivate them during therapy sessions to foster optimal recovery.
• Document patient care services meticulously to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Design and lead wellness programs aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on orthopedic patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. You will work with a diverse client base, ranging from athletes to elderly individuals, all seeking to regain their strength and mobility. By providing tailored, personalized care, you will play a crucial role in enhancing their overall physical well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist License (no board or disciplinary actions).
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise expertise.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Proven success in developing and implementing treatment plans that effectively address patient needs.
• Experience in working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
