Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Travelers will work 2 of 3 major holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Manage 5–6 ventilated patients per shift and perform approximately 35 respiratory treatments within a 12-hour period
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) and adjust ventilator settings accordingly
• Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations; NICU-trained therapists will attend all deliveries and C-sections
• Assist with intubation procedures using Glidescope and Glidescope-GO (independent intubation not required)
• May float to a freestanding Emergency Department location approximately 15 minutes from the main facility, where the RT may be the sole therapist on site
• Operate respiratory equipment including Avea and Hamilton C1 ventilators, V60 and EV300 BiPAP units, Aerovo 2 high-flow systems, and Zoll backup ventilators

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RRT license required — CRT not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification required for candidates with NICU experience who will be assigned to NICU duties
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Must be able to assist with intubation procedures
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NICU experience preferred; candidates with NICU background will receive additional orientation day and may be assigned to neonatal coverage including deliveries and C-sections
• Experience working in a freestanding or standalone emergency department setting
• Familiarity with Avea, Hamilton C1, V60, EV300, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems
