Sheet Metal Technician

ETC, a growing, dynamic US company located outside of Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced, local Sheet Metal Technician to support our operations. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines (fiber/CO2) Operate traditional sheet metal equipment, including press brakes, shears, punches, and saws Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders Select proper materials, tooling, and machine settings for each job Perform first-article and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area Follow all safety procedures and company policies Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other fabrication team members Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred Some experience in sheet metal fabrication and laser operation (preferred) Experience with CNC laser cutting machines Working knowledge of press brakes and traditional sheet metal equipment Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of metal materials Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment ETC offers competitive salaries and benefits as well as the opportunity to exercise your technical talents in a friendly and exciting work environment with a leading edge technology company.
