Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care on a blended Med/Surg unit, including Swing Bed and occasional PCU patients
- Assess patient status, develop and implement individualized care plans, and administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor vital signs, manage IV therapies and drips when applicable, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Document accurately in the electronic health record and communicate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Participate in unit initiatives as needed and support a collaborative team approach to safe, high-quality care

Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS certification
- Unit-specific certifications may be required or preferred depending on assignment (examples listed in Job Notes include ICU, Progressive Care, Cardiac Services, Interventional Imaging, NICU, Emergency, Recovery, Pediatrics, Infusion Therapy, and related practice areas)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a blended Med/Surg/Swing Bed/PCU setting with patient ratios such as 1:5 Med/Surg, 1:5–6 Swing Bed, or 1:3–4 PCU depending on patient needs and drips
- Education: Graduate of an approved nursing program with eligibility for Illinois RN licensure; degree level may vary by assignment
