About The Position The Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Airport EVS Supervisor position. About The Position The Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Airport EVS Supervisor position. Minimum Requirements Education and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school AND three (3) years of full-time EVS, custodial or housekeeping services experience, which includes at least one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience. Two (2) years of full-time experience as an Airport Senior EVS Attendant may be considered for the required one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience. All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application. Working Conditions: Work evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts, depending upon the department to which assigned. May be exposed to body fluids and other hazardous substances. Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment. Must pass the airport's Badging Security Class with a ramp designation upon initial appointment and complete a Clark County Defensive Driving Class during probationary/qualifying period. Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician. Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination. Residency Requirement: Permanent employees must maintain a principal place of residency within the boundaries of Clark County and provide proof of compliance with Nevada motor vehicle registration and driver's license laws within 90 days of employment. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Projects a positive image while communicating with guests and team members with various socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, in a friendly manner, answers questions, and provides standard information; directs guests to department's Guest Services team when unable to accurately address guest's needs. Actively coaches, mentors and develops employees. Plans, schedules, supervises through a subordinate lead level, and assigns the work of EVS Attendants and Senior EVS Attendants during an assigned shift and at assigned multiple facilities or locations, sets priorities, and follows-up to ensure completion and quality of assigned work. Trains, provides for the training of staff and development of work procedures. Recommends selection, writes and administers performance appraisals and discipline, and handles other personnel matters. Provides contract service oversight and support; coordinates purchasing activities; reviews requests for payment, ensures that work was performed and/or materials delivered and processes invoices. Maintains accurate records and files of purchase requisitions, bid documentation, and related materials. Troubleshoots problems, resolves employee or public complaints and provides technical assistance to staff as required. Conducts regular and routine quality inspections. Inspects cleaning equipment and ensures that it is ready for use; performs minor adjustments and preventive maintenance or reports the need for replacement or repair. Ensures that staff follows safe working procedures, including using the proper safety equipment. Supervises and assists in special clean-up or projects occurring during the assigned shift. Assists team with day-to-day operations if needed, to include sweeping, mopping and dust mopping hard floors, scrubbing, vacuuming, shampooing, extracting, and performing minor repairs to carpets including, polishing, recoating flooring as well as performing carpet extraction. Reports the need for maintenance or repair of facilities to the appropriate supervisor. Corrects or reports any fire or safety hazards and places barriers in public areas. Requisitions required material and supplies; may pick up and deliver supplies to crew as required. Follows label instructions to mix and dilute cleansers, disinfectants and stripping agents to ensure proper strength for use. Reports unauthorized persons and other security problems. Promptly reports lost items, which may include high-value items, to the Lost & Found office and/or Terminal Operations Coordinators. Attends customer contact trainings. May assist in guest line queuing during high passenger volume periods and movement of guests' luggage during irregular airport operations. May assist during planned and unplanned fire/life safety system outages; responsible for door and fire watch to ensure facility security on assigned shift. May be asked to use technology in the day-to-day job functions, including the use of department issued cell phones, radios or other computer equipment. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team. Maintains accurate records of work performed, employee timesheets, work orders and other documentation.
