Sales Representative
Join the Marc Hughes State Farm agency as a Sales Representative and build a real career in insurance. This role is ideal for outgoing, competitive people – from new college grads to experienced sales professionals – who enjoy talking to others and thrive in a goal-driven environment.
Role Overview
- Help individuals, families, and small businesses with auto, home, renters, life, and other insurance needs.
- Handle inbound leads and make proactive outbound contacts to understand needs, present options, and close sales.
- Work in a high-energy office where your effort, attitude, and results drive your income and growth.
What You'll Do
- Contact prospects and customers by phone, text, email, and in person.
- Listen, recommend tailored coverage, present quotes, and ask for the sale.
- Build lasting relationships through follow-up, policy reviews, and great service.

- Outgoing, confident, and comfortable starting conversations.
- Strong sales personality: competitive, persuasive, and goal-oriented.
- Clear, professional communicator; strong phone and in-person presence.
- New grads: motivated to learn the insurance business and grow a long-term career.
- Experienced reps: proven sales success and desire to increase earnings.
Licensing:
- Insurance licenses (Property & Casualty, Life & Health) are a plus.
- If unlicensed, must be willing and able to obtain required licenses (support provided).
Compensation & Growth
- Base pay plus commission, with strong performance-based earning potential.
- Bonus opportunities and ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship.
- Long-term growth potential within the agency and broader State Farm opportunities.
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
