Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (or related field)
• State-issued Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Collaborative approach with staff, students, and families
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student goals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions to promote student progress
• Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills
• Assess student performance and maintain detailed, confidential records of progress
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support personnel to ensure inclusive practices
• Communicate regularly with families to foster positive, ongoing partnerships
• Contribute to IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions
