SOC Code 27-3099 - Media and Communication Workers, All Other Position Overview The position will operate under a dual reporting structure: the employee will report to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management. The role focuses on maintaining oversight of the CRM software, creating targeted communication for specific audiences, and serving as the primary content editor for projects and publications. Primary Purpose of Position Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance and protect NCCU’s institutional identity and reputation, reinforce and grow the university’s brand through graphics, images, and written content, increase visibility in the higher‑education marketplace, and support NCCU’s relevance to key audiences such as prospective students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the broader community. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities A candidate must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), office and records management, and writing guidelines for various media. They should be able to create unique copy for print, online, and social media, conceptualize, write, and edit strategic content for diverse audiences, work independently with minimal supervision, take initiative to complete projects, analyze information for decision‑making, exercise judgment and discretion, plan and prioritize workflow, adapt to flexible schedules, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong editing, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential in a high‑pressure environment. Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Key Responsibilities and Related Competencies CRM Oversight & Content Creation – Work closely with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management to maintain CRM software, write, and edit content for multiple audiences across online, print, and social media. Strategic Initiatives & Communication Plans – Collaborate with department representatives to develop initiatives and communication plans for the enrollment division; monitor benchmarks, analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of social media campaigns. Content Editing & Fact‑Checking – Provide substantive editing, fact‑checking, and improving content for projects and publications. Advocacy & Engagement – Serve as an advocate in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions; build and maintain relationships to effectively communicate information. Program Management & Web Development – Devise online profiles connecting students, university professionals, parents, and partners across all social media tools; create and improve university websites and electronic media databases, coordinating large projects with multiple components over extended periods. Strategic Alignment & Best Practices Research – Research industry best practices to assist the division, university, or unit in aligning print and digital publications with university strategy and guidelines; edit and improve content based on best practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr NC Central University
