To learn more, please visit: OVERVIEW OF ROLE As a rapidly growing organization, we are looking for a senior accountant who can support the enhancement of Vitana’s financial operations. This role will report to the Corporate Controller. RESPONSIBILITIES General Accounting Proactively identifies and proposes accounting solutions for new or unusual business transactions and helps to ensure that the day-to-day accounting is consistent with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and GAAP. Responsible for the reconciliation of bank accounts, fixed asset accounts, intercompany accounts, general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers as appropriate. Prepare monthly journal entries to include revenue recognition, payroll, accruals and others as needed Maintain fixed asset schedules to ensure proper classification of assets and calculation of depreciation Work alongside external accountant to ensure the timely completion of the month-end close process Reviews source documents as required making proper accounting determination Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed Audit & Tax Liaison Coordinate data flow with external accounting firms for audit & corporate tax engagements Responds to questions from our auditors during their routine review and audit of financials while maintaining auditable records and schedules Systems Enhancement Actively support transition of ERP and AP solution away from external accounting firm and onto Vitana-held license REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 2+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a mix of public and private sector setting Knowledge and comfort with financial reporting and US GAAP Prior experience in working with, or at audit or accounting firms Analytical and attention to detail Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite or QuickBooks is a plus, but not required EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in business (accounting or finance) CPA designation (or in progress) YOU WILL LOVE THIS JOB IF YOU ARE Excited to be a part of a rewarding culture and a growing organization Willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done A strong team player #J-18808-Ljbffr
