• Train on 1st shift for approximately one month (required) - will receive shift differential pay during training!
  • Hours are 10pm to 6am Sunday through Thursday

As an extrusion operator, you will be responsible for:

• Sets up and operates thermo-plastic extruders and auxiliary equipment on the extruder line according to engineering specifications; makes immediate corrections where possible. 
• Utilizes a variety of precision measuring instruments, performing all required testing and recording all pertinent information and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Determines appropriate changeover of tooling to ensure proper dimensions according to specifications. Monitors machines and process, reporting irregularities to Lead or Supervisor for problem identification and resolution. 
• Is responsible for material handling for each assigned process. 
• Documents, logs, compiles reports as required and/or requested. 
• Participates in area and process team projects and activities. 
• Performs or assists with other duties as assigned.

• Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment required - preferably in the extrusion industry
• HS Diploma or GED
• Ability to operate forklift and manual and electric jack; Company will train
• Measurement skills, including use of precision measuring tools and equipment - EXCELLENT MATH SKILLS REQUIRED
• Attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot for process and product improvement
• Effective English verbal communication and listening skills
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Successful prioritizing and management of work projects
