Openings as of 6/27/2026 Job Title Maintenance II - Construction Trades (Job ID: 944) Employment Details Position Type: Facility Management/Maintenance/Journeyman (Non-Exempt, Job Group H) Salary Range: $34,326–$42,978 Reports To: Director, Facility Management Location: RK – Facility Management, Texas Date Posted: 6/25/2026 Position Closing Date: Open Until Filled Contract Length: Twelve months, subject to annual renewal Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM Primary Function of Position Responsible for skilled work relating to the construction, maintenance, and repairs of various buildings, structures, and fixtures of the school district's facilities. Essential Job Functions Repair tables, chairs, benches, counters, lockers, shelves, doors, and window frames; perform cabinet work Assemble and mount wall hangings and pictures in a professional manner across campuses Perform ceiling painting, ceilings, grids and tiles, and related repairs; manage inventory of materials Repair or replace drywall, including taping, mudding, texturing, and painting Safely use and operate tools and equipment including hand tools, power saws, planers, joiners, routers, drills, and a drill press Perform miscellaneous building responsibilities such as moving and assembling furniture, changing light bulbs and ballasts, safety inspections, wall repairs, carpet repairs, ceiling tile replacement, door and window repair, replacement of plumbing parts, custodial duties, lawn and ground maintenance, changing air filters, and other related tasks as assigned Assist lead persons with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, grounds, and HVAC work Drive trucks, personnel lifts, forklifts, and other vehicles to pick up and deliver supplies and equipment Manage projects including obtaining estimates and placing purchase requisitions; oversee scope and direction of projects to ensure standards are met Be present on the job as described under work conditions and contract details Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High school diploma or equivalent required Three years’ experience in a related field required Read and understand blueprints; able to make changes and modifications to systems as needed Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to meet customer needs Travel to and from other campus locations as required Possession of a valid Oklahoma driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Ability to acquire a Fork Lift Training Certificate within first three months (training provided) Work independently with limited supervision and direction Maintain and manage an efficient, well organized work area Prioritize tasks and projects in a fast‑paced environment Meet critical deadlines Provide superior customer service and work quality to internal and external customers Strong flexibility, time management, and organizational skills Manage multiple tasks or projects with urgency Anticipate needs, be resourceful, and build strong employee partnerships Working Conditions Strenuous physical effort required. Ability to lift 10–75 lbs with assistance. Position requires prolonged standing, walking, and reaching. Low‑level machine noise encountered daily. Concentrated visual effort required.
