Accounts Payable Specialist

Role Overview LHH is partnering with a growing and innovative organization in the biotech space to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing full-cycle accounts payable, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Responsibilities Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely within NetSuite Perform three-way matching and ensure proper approval workflows are followed Manage weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire transfers, and check processing Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and banking information Assist with month-end close activities by preparing AP accruals and reconciliations Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries regarding payment status Monitor AP aging and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies Support audits by providing requested AP documentation and schedules Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and company procedures Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 3+ years of accounts payable experience Experience using NetSuite required Biotech, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or related industry experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of full-cycle accounts payable processes Experience processing high-volume invoices and vendor payments Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables Organized, attentive to detail, and strong communication skills Benefits Benefit offerings include competitive salary with excellent benefits; medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, and 401K plan with employer match.
