Senior Tax Accountant

Senior Tax Accountant Our client, a CPA firm with offices in midtown Manhattan, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with Public Accounting experience to join their team. Base Pay Range $90,000.00/yr – $125,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities Preparation of Individual, HNW, Partnership, and Corporate Income tax returns Preparation of foreign filings including FBARs, Form 1116, 5471, 5472, etc. Understanding of FBAR reporting, PFIC reporting, and other foreign jurisdiction reporting (a plus) Preparation of sales tax returns and commercial rent tax returns for clients in various industries Reviewing and responding to government notices on clients’ behalf Prepare and analyze fixed asset and related depreciation schedules Analyze income statements and balance sheets Prepare tax planning and estimates and become involved in planning for more complex clients Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, assist with related disclosures, test deferred tax balances, and reconcile tax filings to the tax provision Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence and guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other tax authorities Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field CPA/EA and/or master’s in taxation (a plus) Minimum 4 years of experience preparing tax returns in a CPA firm Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all levels of clients Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word Knowledge of ProSystem Fx Tax, Axcess Engagement, and/or Fixed Assets (a plus) Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Accounting and Financial Services Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) #J-18808-Ljbffr
