A specialty pharmacy focused on providing rare and orphan drugs for patients with uncommon diseases is seeking two experienced Specialty Pharmacists to support patient care and medication management. Contract Details:

• Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for direct hire
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime shifts
• Start Date: Immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage dispensing and clinical review of rare/orphan medications used for complex disease states
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and patients to facilitate drug approval, insurance authorization, and patient assistance programs
• Provide detailed counseling on medication therapies and support navigation of grants, rebates, and payment assistance options
• Maintain high-touch communication to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to treatment plans
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards specific to specialty pharmacy operations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience working exclusively in a designated specialty pharmacy setting-not retail pharmacy experience with specialty scripts
• Strong clinical knowledge related to rare and orphan drugs
• Demonstrated ability to assist patients and providers with complex reimbursement and authorization processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform in a high-touch, patient-centric environment
