Boston - Corporate Associate (Senior)

Job Overview We are searching for a senior associate to join our Corporate group in our Boston office. The ideal candidate would have experience with start-ups and emerging growth companies, as well as seed and venture capital financings, growth and private equity, and mergers & acquisitions. About the Role We are seeking motivated, team-oriented, and collaborative attorneys who are excited about working with clients in the start‑up and venture capital ecosystem. Depending on existing experience, your practice at Gunderson would involve a mix of counseling early-stage entrepreneurs, representing companies and venture funds in venture financing rounds and M&A, as well as investor-side financing in growth equity rounds. You will have significant client contact daily, and must be comfortable interacting with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and general partners of venture funds. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience leading private company financings representing companies and/or venture capital funds, including maintaining client relationships. Candidates can expect to handle multiple client matters concurrently and engage in meaningful client contact from day one. Job Requirements JD 2019 - 2020 Previous large law firm experience required. Candidates must be admitted or eligible to waive into the State Bar of Massachusetts. Eagerness to work with emerging growth companies and funds. Demonstrated experience in venture capital financings, growth and/or private equity, M&A transactions. Excellent written and oral communication skills are highly valued.
