Vascular Surgeon - Full-Time Contract
Overview This full-time contract role offers an excellent opportunity for a Vascular Surgeon (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive vascular care in a supportive environment serving Veterans. The position includes predictable weekday clinic hours, strong clinical team support, and long-term contract stability. Candidates will work alongside experienced staff, including PA-C support and dedicated nursing teams. Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree
- 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
- Surgery
- Vascular Surgery
- Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Medical Doctor (MD)
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Eligible
- Board Certified
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
- American Red Cross Advanced Life Support (ARC ALS)
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
- American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- Provide vascular surgery services including outpatient clinic visits, inpatient consults, operating room procedures, and emergency consults
- Manage approximately 50 clinic patients per week
- Perform 10-15 vascular procedures per month
- Collaborate with experienced clinical staff, including PA-C support and dedicated nursing teams
- Participate in call coverage:
- Phone availability within 15 minutes
- Onsite arrival within 60 minutes if called back
- Utilize three operating rooms and clinic scheduling support to deliver high-quality patient care
- Monday-Friday clinical schedule
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM clinic hours
- 41 weeknight call shifts annually
- 9 weekend call assignments annually
- On-call callback approximately once per week
