Gym membership discounts Team member referral bonus Professional Development Tuition reimbursement Technical training and career development programs Opportunities for internal advancement and relocation Access to corporate discount programs through ADP Job Summary The Benefits & Payroll Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture team by administering payroll and benefits processes, maintaining employee data within HR systems, responding to employee inquiries, and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Employee Support Deliver exceptional service to employees, managers, and business leaders. Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries and coordinate resolution of complex issues. Monitor shared team in boxes and ensure timely responses. Assist with new hire orientation and benefits presentations. Support People & Culture initiatives and special projects as assigned. Payroll Administration Review and process timekeeping corrections and payroll-related transactions. Audit payroll deductions, earnings, and benefit contributions for accuracy and compliance. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions. Support managers and employees in navigating payroll and HR systems. Ensure compliance with applicable payroll regulations, including multi-state requirements. Benefits Administration Administer employee benefit programs and respond to benefits-related inquiries. Process benefit provider invoices and maintain accurate records. Support leave of absence and accommodation processes. Coordinate benefit enrollments, life event changes, open enrollment activities, and retirement plan transactions. Prepare reports and maintain tracking tools related to benefits, leaves, and employee programs. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure effective benefits administration. Develop and distribute employee communications, newsletters, reminders, and knowledge-base content. Support life insurance, retirement plan, and other benefit-related transactions. HR Data & Reporting Maintain accurate employee records and data within HR systems. Process employee lifecycle transactions, including: New hires Transfers Promotions Compensation changes Separations Generate recurring and ad hoc reports. Support audits and data integrity reviews. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and data accuracy. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years of experience supporting payroll and employee benefits administration. Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong customer service mindset and commitment to confidentiality. Preferred Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Experience supporting multi-state payroll administration. Knowledge of leave administration, benefit programs, and retirement plans. Experience with process improvement and workflow optimization. The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) Employment Standards Program is conducting rulemaking to implement changes passed last year to the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act. The new laws update the act’s wage and salary disclosure requirements. The amendments were included in Substitute Senate Bill 5408 and Substitute Senate Bill 5501 during the 2025 legislative session. As a result, the Employment Standards Program is defining terms and requirements and clarifying applicability, enforcement, and penalties through the rulemaking process to reflect statutory changes. The program filed the CR-101 preproposal for rulemaking on Aug. 5, 2025, and anticipates filing the CR-103 for adoption on April 21, 2026. The effective date of the laws was July 27, 2025.
