Dental Assistant/ClerkAssists with the preparation of patients prior to seeing dentistsAssists the practitioners with patient care in the conduct of examinations and materials preparationActs as a translator for patients as neededGreet and register patients using eClinical WorksAssist new patients with registration processCheck necessary documents for identification and insurance eligibilityOrient patient and distribute patient bill of rights and other forms and waiversAct as information clerks to make proper referrals as neededAct as a chair-side assistant to the dentist utilizing accepted four-handed dental techniquesProvides patient counseling regarding proceduresAssist in the maintenance of inventories and stocking of supplies in examination rooms, nursing and lab areasMaintains logs of required data as neededActs a patient's advocate and liaison for preservation of patient's rightsParticipates in off-site screening projects as neededParticipates in departmental QA and other patient related committees as neededParticipates in outreach and community screenings as neededParticipates in case management and patient surveys in maintaining quality assuranceOther related duties as assignedHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredDental Assistant Certification appreciatedBasic CPR (BCLS) CertificationTwo years experience working in the health care fieldCapacity for covering Dental Assistants at all sites as neededThis is Monday through Friday.
