Operations Manager

Kansas City, MO | Full-Time | Compensation Negotiable (Based on Experience) FireBoard Labs, a Kansas City technology company, is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee key functional areas of the company including electronics manufacturing, plant management and resource planning. This role will focus on daily management of key personnel, and oversight of FireBoard’s manufacturing processes. Another key focus of this role will be to look towards building operational efficiencies on the assembly line. We are looking for candidates with experience in electronics manufacturing and assembly. FireBoard Labs is headquartered in Kansas City and is an industry leader in cloud connected temperature monitoring and control. Our headquarters in downtown Kansas City also supports our in-house electronics manufacturing capabilities and provides a showcase for domestic manufacturing. FireBoard is planning to build upon its momentum and launch additional key products this year. This role would play an active part in ensuring efficient operations in FireBoard’s vertically integrated electronic manufacturing operations. This role would combine daily hands-on involvement on our production floor while also working closely with management to execute key initiatives. Desired Skill Set Bachelor’s Degree (Business / Engineering) Strong analytical skills (Spreadsheets, MRP systems) Multiple years of experience in manufacturing environment Experience in managing and coaching manufacturing associates Ability to evaluate key operational efficiency metrics Strong communication skills and comfort level interfacing with executive team Bonus Qualifications Experience with electronics (reading schematics, solder re-work, test equipment, diagnosis) Experience with electronics assembly equipment (Pick and place machines, selective solder) Experience in manufacturing automation Join our small but growing team as we innovate to solve simple problems.
