Ultrasound Technologist II – Bargaining Unit: Local 856 Contra Costa Health is the largest county department in Contra Costa County. The Diagnostic Imaging Unit at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) in Martinez, CA seeks a full‑time Ultrasound Technologist II to perform routine and complex ultrasound imaging procedures and assess patient conditions. Maintain accurate records. Communicative. Convey information to co‑workers and patients both written and orally. Responsibilities Perform pulse and continuous‑wave Doppler assessments. Assist in scheduling and patient flow. Operate a variety of ultrasound equipment. Assess general patient condition. Benefits of the Role Serve as a resource to staff. Collaborate with physicians. Certificates Required Valid certificate as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in at least two of the Ultrasound specialties (abdomen, OB/GYN, breast, vascular) issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Valid certificate in Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) issued by the American Red Cross or a valid certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association. Experience One (1) year of full‑time experience as a Certified RDMS with at least six (6) months in an acute care setting. Other Requirements Background investigation/fingerprint and/or physical exam may be required prior to employment.
