Job Description
This position will support accounting requirements under GAAP SOX and all other authoritative guidance published by FASB, AICPA, SEC and the PCAOB.
Requirements include:
- Working knowledge of government contractor accounting/finance activities.
- Experience working in systems, working knowledge of accounting systems and the interrelationships of the GL (General Ledger) with sub-ledgers and other modules, including job cost, fixed assets and accounts payable
- Experienced with journal entries, account analysis and resolving inaccuracies and issues
- Work with varying levels of employees, both inside and outside the accounting department
- Provide hands on knowledge and support for projects – perform reconcilements, resolve issues, execute corrections/adjustments
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Business, Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years total related work experience.
- Must be a team player who is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
- Good organization, communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership and customer service skills are required.
- Advanced MS Excel (reference formulas and pivot tables), Office, Outlook, Word
- Preferred Additional Experience: JAMIS, Infinium and PeopleSoft Accounting Software
- Business Objects, Showcase or other similar data mining applications
