Retail Banker I (30 Hours Weekly/Bilingual Spanish Preferred) - Weston South Work Location: Weston, Florida, United States of America Hours: 30 Pay Details: $22.50 - $29.00 USD Line of Business: Personal & Commercial Banking Job Description: The Retail Banker I is a customer liaison that is integral to delivering TD’s Brand promise by utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist Customers with their banking solutions and needs. This role supports business growth by identifying TD solutions that help customers achieve their financial goals and optimize their relationship with TD. Depth & Scope: Product, service and routine transaction knowledge to identify opportunities to educate customers and refer them to appropriate team members or internal partners while ensuring a positive experience. Broad understanding of the full product suite, services and processes of the business area, typically low to moderate complexity/risk. Build and nurture customer relationships by consistently displaying product knowledge and actively listening to customer needs. Make product recommendations based on customer needs and highlight features and benefits that support customers through challenging times and life events. Utilize customer relationship management tools to play a key role in customer assessments and proactive outbound sales activities. Resolve customer issues and errors independently, escalating when necessary. Explain detailed or complex information to customers. Complete a range of activities with full proficiency gained through job‑related training. Participate in outreach, servicing and advisory activities to deliver on the bank’s promise. Engage in conversations about loan products and facilitate application intake. Maintain an active NMLS registration status. Education & Experience: HS Diploma or GED. 1+ year of customer or sales experience in any capacity, or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience preferred. Ability to complete teller training upon hire. Proficiency in customer conversations and product education. Strong organizational skills for handling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication skills—concise, clear, and consistent. Ability to schedule and prioritize work. Work independently and meet deadlines. Sound judgment and effective problem‑solving. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Notary License preferred. Customer Accountabilities: Deliver legendary experience by helping customers, building relationships, and providing advice. Support the bank’s customer service strategy and deliver end‑to‑end advice. Advocate for customers with proactive insights and recommendations. Resolve issues and provide sound advice for solutions. Manage customer flow in the lobby and introduce appropriate services. Educate customers on self‑service options that meet their needs. Act as an escalation point for customer questions or concerns. Perform teller transactions (e.g., check cashing, deposits, transfers) with fraud mitigation and policy adherence. Consider the impact of decisions on the well‑being of the bank and stakeholders. Act as a brand champion internally and externally. Educate customers on digital self‑service channels. Provide personalized interactions for each transaction. Shareholder Accountabilities: Ensure compliance with operational activities, including BSA and Patriot Act regulations. Participate daily in operations aligned with the bank’s risk framework. Apply operating policies and procedures. Support timely and accurate completion of business processes. Escalate non‑standard or high‑risk activities as necessary. Ensure accurate documentation that reflects client intent and complies with regulations. Perform due diligence for all customer transactions. Adhere to the Bank Code of Conduct. Contribute to operational excellence objectives. Execute with excellence by following risk and control policies.
