Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Medical-surgical overflow patients (CHF, DM, UTI, non critical sepsis, HTN, COPD, isolation, end-of-life/palliative, awaiting placement, post-op from general surgery)
Experience or 'must have' skills: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in acute care
Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes, limited to Heparin gtt and Cardizem gtt (up to 10mg/hr)
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin and Cardizem
Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Yes
Do RN's read strips?Yes (pending approval of position) and Yes
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor:Charge RN
Are there Nurse Aides on this unit? Yes
CNA/Ratios: 1:9
RT/Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow): CPAP and BiPAP, No HiFlow
Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour shift, FTE based
Holiday Requirement: - Preferred - Manager to discuss during phone interview
Call or Standby Requirement: No
Floating Requirements: Float as needed
Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific scrub color, per the manager
Unit/Department Specific Orientation: 2- shift orientation
