Senior Property Accountant - $120K + B

We service our clients primarily in the NYC Metro area, as well as nationally through our AAFA and NPA networks.

Our client, an established real estate investment firm, is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their NJ financial team. The right candidate will be responsible for the accounting and financial activities of company properties. This is a hybrid position, located in New York, NY.

Salary: $120,000+ plus Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Assist in management of accounting and finance department, financial reporting and general accounting
• Manage all aspects of accounting operations including timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and general ledger
• Consolidate quarterly/monthly work papers and balance sheet account analysis
• Review monthly revenue and expenses for each property, review monthly property reports
• Prepare annual reports including operating budget, property expense reports,
• Prepare financial packages and review GAAP reporting for the firm's real estate investments
• Oversee all investor relations, including fees, distributions and contributions calculations
• Collaborate with internal and outside auditors, finance teams, heads of departments in effort to improve process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• CPA preferred
• Real Estate or Property Management experience preferred
