Senior Accounting Consultant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant in Saint Petersburg, FL.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities with minimal supervision
• Own the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and reclassification entries
• Perform complex and routine balance sheet and account reconciliations.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies while maintaining the integrity of financial records
• Support the accounting team by maintaining business-as-usual operations throughout the NetSuite implementation
• Work within a highly manual accounting environment while identifying opportunities for process improvement
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies

Skills

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant capacity
• Hands-on experience with both NetSuite and Sage Intacct required

Strong general ledger accounting experience, including:

• Month-end close
• Journal entries
• Accruals
• Reclassification entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Account reconciliations
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Background in a SaaS company strongly preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
