Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: GI Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS & ACLS Required; NIHSS can be obtained after accepting Must-Have: Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date. Must have 2 years of current experience. Description: This position requires the administration of conscious sedation and airway management. Experience with various endoscopic procedures, including EGD, ERCP, and Bronchoscopy, is essential. Monitoring patients during conscious sedation is a key responsibility. The nurse will provide pre and post-procedure care for patients. The role includes handling specimens and maintaining IV access. On-call duties will be required, typically 1 shift per week during the evenings and 24-hour coverage on weekends as needed. Candidates must have experience with charting, preferably in Cerner. The patient population will include adults and geriatrics with varying diagnoses related to gastrointestinal issues. This role requires strong skills in assessing patient needs and providing high-quality care. Floating may be required according to staffing needs. All certifications and licenses must remain valid and not expire within 45 days of the start date. Travel experience is preferred. Candidates should be prepared for an environment that may require adjustments to scheduling and on-call requirements. Participation in interdisciplinary support and collaboration with other healthcare professionals is expected. Adherence to organizational policies and procedures is mandatory. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of patient care protocols and safety standards.
