Base Salary: $85,000–$97,000+ (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Legal Assistant for one of California's premier law firms in Irvine.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys variety. Rather than supporting a single attorney or practice group, you'll work across multiple teams throughout the firm, stepping in where you're needed most. You'll support attorneys during busy periods, vacations, staffing transitions, trial preparation, and special projects while gaining exposure to a wide range of legal practice areas.
You do not need previous "floater" experience. The firm is simply looking for a strong Legal Assistant who can adapt quickly, stay organized, and confidently support attorneys in a fast-paced law firm environment.
Must-Have ExperienceYou must have:
- 5+ years of Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary experience within a law firm
- Strong document preparation, proofreading, and formatting skills
- Experience managing attorney calendars, scheduling, and deadlines
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ideal
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys or multiple practice groups
- Experience with iManage or similar document management systems
- Experience with state and federal electronic court filings

- Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files
- Assist with trial preparation, document review, transaction binders, exhibit organization, and special projects
- Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys across multiple practice groups as business needs change
