The Job You Will Perform:

• Responsible for running mill production equipment, specifically in the recovery & utilities area.
• Monitor the process to support the production of a high-quality product.
• Following detailed written and verbal procedures; additionally, an ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Team-oriented environment rewarding flexibility and reliability.
• On-the-job training may involve physical, technical, and mechanical ability to perform the following duties:
  • Climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Monitoring, adjusting, and controlling operating equipment.
  • Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Attend PIT meetings, morning crew meetings, and other meetings as scheduled.
• This is a shift-based role that does have overtime requirements.

The Skills You Will Bring:

• Previous mill experience is required for this position.
• This position is classified as a job family 3 position, and pay will be based on assessing the specific candidate’s knowledge base of the following certifications with the expectation that a successful candidate get these mill certifications within a reasonable timeframe to maintain that level of pay:
  • Woodyard
  • Recaust
  • Demin
  • Evaps
  • CTO
  • Recovery/Power Boiler
• Candidate must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment and have either a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work shift work, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work safely and follow complex directions in oral, written and electronic formats.
• Ability to be successful in a team-based, high-performance work environment.
• Ability to work at heights, on ladders and in confined spaces.
• Ability to pass drug screens & a background check.
• Ability to use MS office, including email, word and excel.
• Ability to work well with teams, along with a strong desire for career advancement.
• Ability to learn through self-study.
