Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from accredited schools approved by the APTA
• Active State License is Required to Start the Assignment
• BLS Certification May Be Required from AHA or ARC
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current State of Hawaii license in good standing appropriate to the discipline

Assignment Details

• Variable schedule with departmental coverage across 7 days per week
• Generally scheduled 5 days per week
• Likely to include one weekend day
• Must be available to work Hawaii State and Federal holidays as necessary based on facility operations
• Possible floating to other units or facilities based on census and staffing needs

Location Highlights

Hilo offers direct access to both waterfront scenery and island adventure. Liliʻuokalani Gardens and Hilo Bay sit near the city center, while Rainbow Falls is about 3 miles away and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park is about 30 miles southwest. The Hilo Farmers Market operates in the downtown area near historic Bayfront, and Richardson Ocean Park provides black sand shoreline access within about 5 miles of central Hilo. Hilo International Airport is located just east of downtown, and the area is known for a quieter pace than the Kona coast with access to Akaka Falls State Park about 12 miles north.
