Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor – Mechanical Engineering Posting Number: 20260044F Location: Villanova, PA Position Type: Faculty Work Schedule: full-time/9 months Department: 205-Mechanical Engineering Position Summary Villanova University’s Mechanical Engineering Department seeks a full-time, non‑tenure track visiting faculty member for the fall and spring semesters of the 2026‑2027 academic year. The successful candidate will teach 12 contact hours per semester, typically involving two to three preparation sessions, and will instruct undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. Duties and Responsibilities Teaching undergraduate courses and labs. Minimum Qualifications A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely aligned discipline is required (must be completed at the time of hire). The applicant must demonstrate a dedication to teaching excellence. Preferred Qualifications A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred.
