Department Supervisor

Party Time Rentals & Special Events is seeking a dependable, hands-on Department Supervisor to oversee the daily workflow of our Linen and Dishroom teams.

This is a working supervisor position. In addition to overseeing employees and coordinating daily operations, the Department Supervisor will be expected to work alongside the teams and jump in wherever necessary to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. This may include washing dishes and rental equipment, assisting with linens, organizing inventory, cleaning  or organizing workspaces, and performing other hands-on operational duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the daily workflow of the Linen and Dishroom teams

• Establish priorities and keep both departments on schedule

• Work directly alongside team members whenever additional help is needed

• Perform linen, dishroom, cleaning, and organizational duties as necessary

• Ensure rental items are thoroughly cleaned, properly handled, and ready for upcoming orders

• Inspect completed work for cleanliness, accuracy, and quality

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas

• Ensure supplies, equipment, and rental items are stored properly

• Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to employees

• Monitor productivity, and compliance with company procedures

• Help train new employees and reinforce proper processes

• Communicate department progress, needs, and concerns to management

• Help maintain a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment

• Perform additional operational duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Previous leadership, supervisory, warehouse, laundry, dishroom, hospitality, or production experience preferred

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep employees on task

• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and quality control

• Dependable, punctual, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative

• Willing and able to perform hands-on work throughout the shift

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically active environment

• Ability to safely lift and move rental items as required

• Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed to meet operational demands

• Ability to work 40-60 hours a week during peak Season 

• Bilingual Is plus 

The ideal candidate leads by example and understands that successful supervision sometimes means rolling up their sleeves and working directly alongside the team. They must be equally comfortable directing employees, solving problems, communicating with management, and performing hands-on duties to get the job done.
