This contract opportunity focuses on providing high-quality speech therapy services at an intermediate school, engaging directly with students in a supportive, educational environment. You’ll work onsite two days a week, collaborating with educators and families to help students enhance their communication skills and succeed academically.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active AL SLP certification (ABESPA or DOE; candidates with one certification may start while completing the other)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Previous experience in a school-based setting, especially with students in upper elementary and middle grades
• Excellent communication, initiative, and collaboration skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify speech, language, and communication needs for students in 3rd to 6th grades
• Develop and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions to promote student progress
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning and growth
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, goals, and therapy notes in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
