Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Location: Rochester, NY Pay Range: $25-$35 2nd shift: +$1.25/hour 3rd shift: +$1.85/hour Shift: 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am What's the Job? Diagnose and perform emergency and unscheduled repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and mechanical service on production machines in a multi-shift environment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Maintain electrical schematics, instrumentation, and calibration documentation Support operational excellence initiatives by applying Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles What's Needed? Minimum of one year of hands‑on experience supporting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics; vocational or technical maintenance training preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess equipment performance and implement process improvements Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with operating systems used in a manufacturing setting Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑shift environment while managing multiple priorities What's in it for me?
