Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on industrial production equipment, including injection molding systems, auxiliary equipment, electrical systems, and facility HVAC. The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on injection molding machines and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, controls, sensors, relays, and AC/DC drives.
• Diagnose mechanical failures involving hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, and drive systems.
• Support troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment through basic fault tracing and component replacement.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
• Maintain and repair HVAC and facility support systems as needed.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures.
• Document maintenance activities and work orders in SAP.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, reliability, and process stability.
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards, including LOTO procedures.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience working as a mechanic or technician.
• Electrical diagnostics experience with 120V-480V systems.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting experience.
• Mechanical systems repair experience, including bearings, belts, couplings, and alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• 2+ years of experience working on molding machines.
• Motor controls and VFD troubleshooting preferred.
• Working knowledge of AC/DC drives preferred.
• Experience with industrial automation systems preferred.
• CMMS/SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work safely around energized systems and moving machinery.
• Ability to work extended periods standing and walking, with occasional kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
