Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Rochester, NY

Pay Range: $25-$35

• 2nd shift: +$1.25/hour
• 3rd shift: +$1.85/hour

Shift: 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am

What's the Job?

• Diagnose and perform emergency and unscheduled repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and mechanical service on production machines in a multi-shift environment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Maintain electrical schematics, instrumentation, and calibration documentation
• Support operational excellence initiatives by applying Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles

What's Needed?

• Minimum of one year of hands-on experience supporting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics; vocational or technical maintenance training preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess equipment performance and implement process improvements
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with operating systems used in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment while managing multiple priorities
