We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:This position has a special emphasis on mechanical (HVAC), technology, computerized systems, kitchen equipment, and sporting equipment. The Facility Manager will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, professional services, stock control, supply orders, routine custodial, grounds and equipment for the facility, including maintaining the turf of athletic fields, and specific maintenance requirements for each field and grass type. The Facility Manager will also ensure a suitable working environment for the organization and provide appropriate reporting, performance measurements, budgeting, and leadership.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:LEADERSHIP:Manage (hire, train, evaluate, schedule, etc.) part-time Facility Operations staff, interns, & volunteersManage and coordinate any contractors, correspond with prospective groupsCreate logs for maintenance of equipment and capital plans, maintain and update all logs and manuals, for housekeeping, operations & maintenanceMonitor inventory and order suppliesFormulate and Maintain Hazardous materials (SSD) programProvide knowledgeable guest service to guests through awareness of the guests, community, trends, and facility offeringsWork within the confines of a budgetCoordinate and schedule to support needed staff to support eventsUnderstand and carry out facility policies and proceduresResponsible to open/close facility dailyRecord all incidents through daily rounds during league play as MOD to ensure a safe facility and maintain OSHA and ADA complianceComplete special projects and daily assignments as directed by managementFACILITY MAINTENANCE:Maintain and coordinate overall appearance and cleanliness of the facilityInventory, organize, and stock closets, toolboxes and maintenance areasCoordinate cleaning schedule around daily activities and act as primary liaison with City of GardendaleHave knowledge of internal building systems (sprinkler, HVAC, alarm, etc.)Manage utilities (lights, temperature controls, heaters, etc.)Maintain, repair, upgrade, and order equipment when necessaryCoordinate with directors on facility repairs to avoid conflictsContract maintenance with outside vendors when necessary and applicable to SFM's scope of servicesCoordinate regularly scheduled inspections (fire, sprinkler, elevator, etc.)Coordinate and supervise venue changeover to support events both indoor and outdoorGROUNDS MAINTENANCE:Coordinate maintenance and repairs to avoid conflicts and maximize usage of courtsMonitor all walkways and flower beds and keep clear of weeds, grass, trash, water, ice, etc.Develop annual court maintenance plan including repairs and cleaningOperate all machinery correctly and efficientlyClean and maintain parking lotFollow up with guests to learn how the facility can be improvedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:At least 3-5 years of related experienceMust have advance working knowledge of commercial facilities including HVAC, electrical, suppression systems, and kitchen equipmentMust have experience working with sports facilities and associated grounds and equipmentAdvanced working knowledge of maintenance, janitorial, and landscaping standardsPrior responsibility in managing a daily P&L, management and budget oversightAssociates degree or related degree/certificate to the positionExcellent interpersonal, problem solving, and negotiating skillsMust be a team player with a positive can-do attitudeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent management and scheduling abilities for outside vendors & contractorsSolid computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, A/V, etc.Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certifications within a specific periodAbility to understand, learn, and utilize various computer-based systemsWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bendPushing/pulling/lifting 50 pounds waist highAbility to navigate around the facility for long periods of timeAbility to climb elevated areas to complete tasks (electric lift, catwalk, ladders, etc.)Limited travel may be requiredFacility has intermittent noise
