We are looking for an engineer who has full stack programming experience and is enthusiastic to build and maintain new applications, improving our Guest and Cast experiences.Roles and Responsibility:Design and implement reliable, high-throughput, low latency, scalable and well-documented code to tackle sophisticated algorithmsCollaborate with engineers, product owners, and other partners to propose extensible, reusable and performant solutionsProactively seek opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and implementationsExperiment, develop proof of concept with relevant new technologiesConduct code review pull-requests with consistent scrutinyAble to work independently to analyze and solve issues as an individual contributorTroubleshoot, fix problems reported in lower and production environmentsWrite unit and component tests to ensure delivery of high quality codeMonitor and proactively improve production run quality of applicationsWork in a scrum team and provide your daily updatesEstimate effort for assigned development tasks, assist in estimating level of effort for less senior level developersRequired Skills and Experience:5+ Years of software engineering, analysis and design with full software development lifecycle experience.Java, Spring Framework, SQL (AroraDB) and NoSQL-based databases (MongoDB), writing complex SQL queries and building highly scalable and highly performant distributed applications and web services experience.Exposure to GraphQL / Graph DBs5+ years Internet technologies, microservices architectures experience.5+ Developing cloud native applications, preferably in AWS experienceExperience with scripting languages like JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular (8.2.13)/ ReactJSExperience with Docker / Kubernetes.Knowledge of CI/CD toolsDemonstrated strong analytical skills.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming with an understanding of design principlesPreferred Skills:Experience in the commerce space and products / pricing / inventory domainsEducation Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in computer science or similar field or related equivalent experience#DISNEYTECHThe hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $135,200 - $181,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
