Responsibilities

• Equipment Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC machinery (mills and/or lathes) to produce parts according to blueprint requirements.
• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Quality Inspection: Perform routine in-process inspections using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to verify part dimensions and ensure tight tolerances.
• Process Optimization: Monitor machine performance, adjust tool offsets, and replace worn inserts to maintain part quality and minimize scrap.
• Basic Maintenance: Conduct daily operator-level maintenance, including cleaning the machine workspace and checking fluid/coolant levels.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all shop safety protocols, wear proper PPE, and maintain a clean, organized workstation.

The essential functions of this role include:
