Associate Scientist II

Associate Scientist II role at Catalent's Kansas City facility supporting Large Molecules/Biologics product development through laboratory testing and molecular analysis under cGMP guidelines. Performs mammalian cell culture, ELISA assays, qPCR, flow cytometry, and kinetic binding assessments to ensure compliant, high-quality operations.

Responsibilities Execute laboratory testing for biologics using mammalian cell culture, sterile technique, and cell-based assays Perform ELISA assays including quantitative and potency measurements across multiple detection platforms Conduct molecular biology techniques such as qPCR and PCR Perform kinetic binding assessments using biolayer interferometry or surface plasmon resonance Maintain cGMP-compliant documentation and follow Standard Operating Procedures with precision Requirements Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Physical Science Applied knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Attention to detail and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently under pressure GMP experience (preferred)
