Litigation Attorney

Position Title : Litigation Attorney Handle sophisticated medical malpractice litigation without the traditional law firm partnership-track pressure. A well-established organization serving California physicians is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to manage medical malpractice defense matters as part of a highly collaborative legal team. This attorney will handle pleadings, discovery, investigation, court appearances, and ongoing case strategy while partnering closely with Trial Attorneys, claims professionals, and dedicated legal support staff. The ideal candidate is a California-barred litigation attorney with strong defense experience who thrives in a team environment, communicates effectively with clients and colleagues, and wants to build deeper medical malpractice expertise with a clear path toward taking on greater trial responsibility. Salary Range: $175,000 - $235,000 / Year, DOE Responsibilities Manage medical malpractice defense matters throughout the litigation lifecycle Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents Develop case investigation and discovery strategies in collaboration with Trial Attorneys and claims professionals Conduct legal research and analyze complex medical, factual, and liability issues Attend hearings, conferences, depositions and other court proceedings as required Maintain timely communication regarding case developments, strategy, and status Work closely with Trial Attorneys, legal secretaries, paralegals and claims professionals on assigned matters Ensure matters are handled in accordance with established defense guidelines and internal standards Requirements Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar Strong litigation experience with medical malpractice experience highly preferred Defense-side litigation experience strongly preferred Experience handling pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and court appearances Knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and applicable court rules Strong legal research, analytical, and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple active matters while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems such as Box Stable professional history with the ability to clearly articulate career transitions Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) plan PTO and paid holidays $5,000 annual auto allowance Discretionary performance and tenure-based bonus opportunities Hybrid work environment with two in-office days per week #J-18808-Ljbffr Boutique Recruiting
