This position supports attorneys handling complex litigation matters and requires a highly organized professional who thrives in a deadline-driven setting. Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for a fast-paced legal environment in Dallas, TX. This position supports attorneys handling complex litigation matters and requires a highly organized professional who thrives in a deadline-driven setting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience with court filings, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, meetings, travel, and other litigation-related deadlines.
- Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documentation including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery materials, and legal correspondence.
- File court documents electronically in both Texas state and federal courts while ensuring compliance with filing procedures and deadlines.
- Maintain and organize electronic case files and litigation records using document management systems.
- Support attorneys with trial preparation, case management, and administrative litigation tasks.
- Process expense reports, reimbursement requests, and other attorney-related administrative items.
- Assist with time entry, billing support, and client invoicing activities.
- Open and maintain new case matters while communicating professionally with clients, vendors, and internal departments.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of assignments.
- Previous experience supporting attorneys in a litigation-focused legal environment.
- Familiarity with Texas state and federal court procedures and electronic filing systems.
- Strong proofreading, grammar, and document formatting abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management platforms such as iManage.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work efficiently in a high-volume setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Typing speed of 80+ WPM preferred.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and exercise sound judgment with minimal oversight.
- Experience with billing support and attorney time entry is preferred.
- Knowledge of appellate filings and software such as Best Authority is a plus.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when needed to support case deadlines and trial preparation
