Carptenter Construction Supervisor

The Carpentry Supervisor plans, schedules, assign, directs and supervises the work performed by bargaining unit staff. Responsible for overall supervision of maintenance, repair, fabrication, installation and modification work on buildings/components, offices, corridors, etc. Assures work quality and progress in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, JHH standards, and local, state and federal codes. This work is performed under limited supervision and using the tools and techniques of carpentry technology.

Hours : Full time (40 hours), Day Shift, Weekdays

Location : Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD

Requirements/Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Requires the completion of formal training in a state-approved Journey Carpentry program at a vocational or technical school, college, or apprenticeship sponsor organization. Must possess a level of knowledge and skill demonstrated through passing the certification exam.

• Requires 10 years related work experience, of which at least 5 years has been in a supervisory capacity.

Salary Range: Minimum $29.84/hour - Maximum $52.23/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
