Production Worker

Electronic Production Manufacturing Support This role supports electronic production manufacturing on a swing shift schedule, performing routine tasks such as testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging to help meet customer deadlines. You will receive detailed instructions, work under close supervision, and build your skills in a light industrial environment where quality, accuracy, and a positive attitude are highly valued. Responsibilities Support production manufacturing activities to ensure customer deadlines are met. Perform testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging tasks according to work instructions. Follow detailed instructions and established policies and procedures for all assignments. Use hand tools and basic production equipment safely and correctly. Read and follow blueprints or production documentation as required for electronic assembly tasks. Meet individual throughput and production goals while maintaining quality standards. Track and document work using basic computer programs, including production systems and simple Excel-based documentation. Use email (such as Outlook) to receive instructions and communicate with supervisors or team members. Handle light industrial/general assembly tasks, including lifting components typically up to 1015 pounds. Assemble components to meet specified metrics, such as joining hoses or similar parts by hand. Alternate between sitting and standing during the shift as needed, while standing for significant portions of the workday. Monitor your own work to ensure it meets quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. Identify and reduce scrap or rework by delivering accurate, high-quality output. Adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and direction from leadership. Participate in improvement initiatives, including 5S and other efforts to enhance productivity, quality, and workplace organization. Look for opportunities to improve work productivity, efficiency, and quality in your area. Work cooperatively within your team and with cross-functional teams as needed. Maintain a level, professional temperament in a fast-paced or stressful environment. Openly share information, knowledge, and experience with co-workers to support team success. Essential Skills Basic computer skills, including navigating internal programs, using simple Excel spreadsheets for documentation, and working with email tools such as Outlook. Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures accurately. Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality work and minimizing errors, scrap, or rework. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and production equipment. Ability to read and follow blueprints or production documentation for electronic assembly tasks. Willingness and flexibility to assist in different departments as needed. Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn; attitude is prioritized and training is provided. Capability to adapt to changing work plans, priorities, and direction. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. Good oral and written communication skills to understand instructions and share information with co-workers and supervisors. Physical ability to sit and/or stand for the duration of the shift and frequently reach at waist level. Comfort working in a light industrial environment, including handling components typically up to 1015 pounds. High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred. One or more years of related experience preferred, with openness to entry-level candidates who demonstrate strong attitude and potential. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in electronic manufacturing, including through-hole or surface mount soldering, is highly desirable. Electronic assembly, testing, inspection, or packaging is beneficial. Prior experience using hand tools and working from blueprints in a production setting. Experience in retail, food service, or other manufacturing fields is valued, especially where strong customer service and work ethic were demonstrated. Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in manufacturing and progressing into more advanced roles. Ability to stay calm and maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced or stressful environment. Willingness to participate actively in improvement initiatives such as 5S and other continuous improvement activities. Comfort learning and rotating between different tasks frequently as production needs change. Self-motivation and initiative to take on additional assignments when needed. Understanding of quality policy guidelines and commitment to regulatory compliance. Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level. The facility employs approximately 450 permanent employees, creating a sizable yet close-knit production setting. This is a light industrial/general assembly environment where you will handle components typically weighing no more than 1015 pounds and work with electronic assemblies, hand tools, testing equipment, and production machinery. You will use computer systems for production tracking and documentation, including basic Excel and email tools such as Outlook. The position follows a swing shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the first week of orientation and training conducted on the day shift. During each 10-hour shift, you may alternate between sitting and standing, but standing will be required for significant portions of the day. The work environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID.
