Job Description:

Title: Medical Assistant – Outpatient

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience

- At least 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic

- Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program

- BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)

- Proficient in venipuncture/phlebotomy, rooming patients, and obtaining vitals

- Ability to perform basic outpatient tasks including immunizations, EKG 12-lead, telephone triage, and medication administration support

- Experience with charting in EPIC required

- Preferred: CMA credential, phlebotomy certification, and previous oncology experience

Compliance / Notes:

- Orientation: 40 hours

- Float requirements: Yes (flexibility required)

- Return time-off rules: Max 7 days; no return-to-office within the first 2 weeks of assignment

- References: 2 references from the past year required, must be supervisor or higher

- Background/license issues: Any discrepancies require a detailed written statement

- Modules: Pre-start modules required, billable up to 12 hours based on specialty
